Gently rising from its landing pad in Abbey Gardens beside Abbey Sands in Torquay, this unique experience not to be missed when visiting the area, so don’t forget your camera as there are sure to be some memories to be snatched & some very impressive views! The 15-minute trip is affordable and accessible to everyone. Open weave viewing ports ensure that the view for wheelchair users and small children is not obstructed. This really is a unique and affordable experience for the whole family to enjoy.
The HiFlyer gondola can comfortably accommodate up to 30 passengers and is designed to prevent people bunching up. It allows every passenger an unhindered view. It is highly accessible and allows for a standard (lightweight) wheelchair.
The flight normally takes 15 minutes in total, gently ascending into the sky allowing the passenger to take in the stunning 360° views. The balloon then smoothly decends back to the landing pad. Please note that the flight duration may change according to weather conditions.
Imagine slowly drifting skywards to a height of up to 120 metres, leaving the ground behind and opening up a whole new breathtaking perspective on the surrounding landscape.
